Melanie
Talented Dancer and Cook with Interior Design Skills
Hi I’m Melanie, Webasto has been at my side since I began my working life by training as an industrial clerk in 2014. I was initially able to gain plenty of valuable experience working in various assistant positions, including at board level. I have been part of the Talent Acquisition Team since mid-2021 and would now like to harness my enthusiasm for Webasto to motivate future colleagues to join the company.
After a satisfying working day I like to relax by cooking exotic and unusual dishes while listening to true-crime podcasts or country music.
Why I Work at Webasto
Today, I’m continuing what I started during my training: Regardless of the department in which I worked, I was allowed to grow both professionally and personally and follow my own path. I was able to shape my own success – and what could be more important than being happy in your everyday working life? It’s not just down to the true friendships that have developed over this time; the high degree of collegial cohesion and respectful collaboration have also made a significant contribution to this.
My Tip for Completing Your Application
In my opinion, the key to success is authenticity – because staying true to yourself is the best foundation for open, good and long-term collaboration.
Martina
An Enterprising Team Player with a Sense of Humor and Bavarian Charm
Hello, I’m Martina and I’ve been part of the Webasto family since 2018. I was drawn to the Talent Acquisition department in 2019 after initially having worked on the Webasto Group’s HR marketing activities as a student trainee and master’s candidate. At Talent Acquisition I now support a wide variety of departments in all aspects of recruitment. When I’m not at work I really enjoy travel, especially in Asia, enjoying nature and spending time with my horse.
Why I Work at Webasto
At Webasto, a sense of participation is taken seriously: We always focus on jointly achieving a result while still maintaining the fun side of work and keeping a smile on our faces, even in stressful times. As a recruiter at Webasto, I have opportunities for self-development every day and am able to work independently on different recruiting projects. I also enjoy getting to know a wide range of interesting people with exciting career backgrounds and onboarding the right people for our company.
My Tip for Completing Your Application
We favor honesty and openness. Moreover, there’s no need to worry if you don’t fully meet every requirement listed in the job profile. Simply be yourself – answers straight from the recruitment guidebook are not what we want to hear. Instead, show us what motivates you, what you want to achieve, and where your expectations lie. We are interested in your past career, but even more in the person behind the professional expertise!
Martin
Passionate Cyclist Full of Lighthearted Banter to Make His Team Laugh
Hello, I’m Martin and I’ve been a real Munich boy since my early childhood! Our proximity to nature, with its numerous lakes and mountains outside the gates of our city, makes it easy for me to pursue my hobbies such as cycling, running, hiking and swimming at any time! After a rewarding day at work I like to relax in the evening with friends in one of our many beer gardens, or perhaps sit down with a good book!
Why I Work at Webasto
Webasto is a good fit for me because the company offers an optimal mix between a family-run business and open, honest exchange among employees. There are also regular events and activities with my colleagues as well as the opportunities that go hand-in-hand with a growing international company!
Experience in the areas of roof solutions and heating systems is brought together with growth in the new business areas of e-mobility, such as batteries and charging solutions! Just like the city of Munich – sophisticated modern meets traditional!
My Tip for Completing Your Application
If you enjoy working in small teams, are motivated by challenging new tasks, and enjoy thinking outside of the box in your own field, you will definitely find the right job at Webasto! Being open and communicative – but also having the courage to take new approaches will let you live out your creativity with us!
Gabriele
Green-Fingered Italophile
Hello, my name is Gabriele. I’m a committed HR professional and big fan of Webasto! People know me as Gabi in both my professional and private lives. As well as cooperating with people at Webasto, I am the mother of two sons and am really passionate about the good things in life (especially food), Italy (dolce vita), culture (cinema, cabaret, fine arts) and design (... and all other beautiful things).
Why I Work at Webasto
The “spirit” of this family-run business is still palpable despite the company’s size. Here, people work committedly on the future and also celebrate together when the occasion arises. My team colleagues make working in the office fun and the generous mobile office arrangement allows freedom and flexibility.
My Tip for Completing Your Application
Seize the opportunity to market yourself in your application documents. Make it clear in advance who you are, what you can do and what you want.
Be authentic, open and honest during the application process – this makes decision making easier for both sides.
Andrea
Passionate Chocoholic and Coffee Lover
Hello, I’m Andrea, a genuine Cologne girl who has been part of the Webasto family in Portugal since 2021. I’ve been working in Human Resources for 6 years. In Lisbon I am responsible as a recruiter for the Finance & Controlling, Product Management, Project Management, Production & Operations, Legal & Patent and Human Resources departments.
Why I Work at Webasto
Sustainability and e-mobility are our future and I really wanted to be a part of that! The diversity of our products in the Battery, Charging, Heating/Cooling and Roof divisions gives me an opportunity to learn more about forward-looking and innovative technology every day. International networking within Webasto and direct contact with my colleagues around the world means that my work is varied – so no two days are ever the same.
My Tip for Completing Your Application
Be authentic, unique and self-confident! In addition to your obvious qualifications, our focus is always on people! First and foremost, we want to get to know you and your personality. If you fit in with us and feel comfortable, you’re already halfway there.
Mario
Globe-Trotting Cooking Enthusiast
Hello, I’m Mario. I come from Almada (Portugal) and am a passionate world traveler and cook. I recruit for different divisions at Webasto and I liken recruiting to cooking – because you can only prepare a good meal if you have the right ingredients.
Why I Work at Webasto
The company structure and size are key reasons why many of our employees start at Webasto. In my opinion, however, there are many other reasons that motivate us as a whole to put our energies into Webasto and master new tasks every day. Personally, I’m especially enthusiastic about the modern approaches and working models that prevail at the company. Working here and being able to contribute to Webasto’s success makes it a truly a fun job.
My Tip for Completing Your Application
Be bold and authentic. Show us who you are and what makes you tick as an individual. Have the courage to say, “I can’t do that yet, but I’d love to learn”. Furthermore, good preparation is the be-all and end-all of a good interview. This shows us that the interview and the opportunity to become part of Webasto are important to you.
